One of Australia's leading universities is looking for an experienced Commercial Finance Manager, to join them on a 6 month fixed-term contract. With substantial revenue across research, commercial, and academic streams, the finance function here operates at genuine scale and complexity.
What You'll Be Doing
Serve as the primary finance partner to faculty leadership, translating complex financial data into clear commercial guidance
Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning across the faculty's business units
Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support major initiatives and investment decisions
Provide reporting and insights that inform strategic direction at the executive level
What You'll Bring
CA or CPA qualified, with a relevant accounting or finance degree
Commercial Finance Manager or Finance Business Partner experience from a large complex corporate.
A track record of influencing senior stakeholders through clear, confident financial advice
Strong commercial acumen and advanced modelling capability
Excellent communication — you can hold a room with executives and academics alike
