Master Piano Institute (www.masterpianoinstitute.com) is a well-established music school located in Sydney CBD (Suite 10, 301 Castlereagh Street), just minutes away from Museum Station, Central Station, and Town Hall Station.
We are expanding our team and looking for passionate and experienced music teachers to join us!

Flexible & Year-Round Teaching Schedule
- Unlike most schools that follow a term-based schedule with unpaid breaks, we operate year-round and only close on public holidays and two days over Christmas/New Year.
- Teach as many days as you prefer, allowing you to build a consistent and reliable teaching schedule.
- Extra opportunities to substitute for other teachers when they are on holiday.
Performance & Career Growth Opportunities
- We offer access to our 120 sqm performance venue in Glebe, where teachers can host recitals, workshops, or concerts with full support from the school.
- Our team assists with event planning, venue setup, ticket sales, and logistics, making it easy for teachers to focus on their craft while we handle the admin work.

Who We Are Looking For
The ideal teacher should:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music (Classical training preferred)
- Enjoy playing a variety of genres (classical, jazz, pop, musical theatre, movie themes, etc.)
- Be adaptable to different teaching methods and materials
- Be friendly, patient, and able to provide clear instructions
- Have at least two years of teaching experience in English
Payment & Teaching Hours: Competitive Hourly Rates
- Higher rates for teaching advanced students (Grade 8+)
- Higher rates for teaching group programs
- Rates vary based on teaching level, experience, and qualifications
Flexible Teaching Schedule
- Available teaching hours: Monday–Sunday, 8 AM – 9 PM
- No school holidays – steady work throughout the year (teachers can also choose to have holidays)
- Up to 8 hours of teaching per day (with breaks)
- Minimum commitment: Two stable afternoon teaching blocks (approximately 10 hours per week)
Location: Master Piano Institute, Sydney CBD
- No home visit teaching required – all lessons take place at our fully equipped studio.
Professional Development
- We offer support for teachers’ growth, including lesson feedback (upon request) to help teachers continuously improve their teaching skills.
