Male Disability Support Worker (ABN) – Dandenong
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, positive and engaging male support worker to support a 6-year-old participant in Dandenong with ASD Level 1. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, can build a strong and trusting relationship, and is passionate about supporting their growth, confidence and everyday development.
Days Required
- School pick-ups during the week
- Weekend shifts available
- Casual ongoing position
- ABN Contractor
Pay:
$45 per hour
$60 Saturday Rate
$80 Sunday Rate
Responsibilities
- Build a positive and supportive relationship with the participant
- Complete school pick-ups and provide safe transport
- Support community access and recreational activities
- Encourage independence and assist with age-appropriate skill development
- Support the participant in building confidence, communication and social skills
- Provide a fun, engaging and supportive environment
- Complete brief session notes when required
About You
- Male support worker aged approximately 20–35 years (preferred)
- Friendly, patient and energetic
- Reliable and punctual
- Confident engaging with young children and building rapport
- Experience in disability support, youth work, education or similar roles is desirable
Essential Requirements
- ABN
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- Current Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Current First Aid & CPR
