We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, and be proficient in using accounting software, such as Xero and/or QuickBooks. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing daily bank feeds, supporting accounts payable and receivable functions, assisting with budget preparation, and performing month-end activities. You will play an essential role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing insights for cost reductions and financial improvements.
This role will suit a candidate who has 3-4 years' experience in a similar position. You will join a friendly team and will be able to handle a variety of tasks.

Key duties include:
- Apply daily bank feeds into Xero/QuickBooks accurately including FX Multi currency reporting and reconciliations for HKD, AUD, USD, AED EURO banks
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing.
- Assist in the preparation of cashflow, budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Assist with weekly and end-of-month reporting.
- Prepare and process end-of-month (EOM) journals and reconciliations of deferred revenue, accruals, prepayments, etc.
- Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, including inter-company reconciliations.
- Maintain and update Fixed Asset Registers
- Supporting with BAS and VAT lodgements in USA, Europe and Middle East
- Supporting to setup a variety of SOP’s and train junior finance support staff
- Manage inter-company International transactions, including recharges and processing in multi currency.
- Supporting with year end workpapers for external accountants and lodgement of tax returns in Australia, Middle East, Netherlands and USA and exposure and learning on tax deductibility rules in each of these jurisdictions
- Prepare external quarterly reports for stakeholders.
- Supporting to streamline chart of accounts across 5 entities and review Expense and COGS allocations
- Supporting with Consolidated accounts for internal reporting
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy across the business.
- Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and financial improvements.
- Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance department to enhance efficiency.
- Any other Ad hoc duties
Education and Experience:
- business or accounting degree and/or related professional qualification
- CA or CPA qualified, currently completing and intension to start
- Computer proficiency
- Advanced Experience with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel) and Xero are highly regarded
