The Event Crew refers to a team of individuals responsible for the setup, operation, support, and breakdown of events. The day-to-day duties vary depending on the type and scale of the event but typically include tasks such as installing equipment, managing logistics, assisting attendees, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and providing technical or general support throughout the event.
- Coordinate and Manage Daily Attendance and Event Setup at Schools: Responsible for ensuring accurate daily attendance records and overseeing the setup and logistical arrangements for school-based events, ensuring all equipment and resources are properly organized and in place.
- Client Liaison for Environmental and Safety Assessments: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding environmental safety concerns. This includes conducting assessments and completing all necessary documentation such as the Daily Event Task Form to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Monitor Weather Conditions: Consistently follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for event operations including high risk assets eg, generators, while actively monitoring and reviewing weather conditions to ensure outdoor events can be safely conducted.
- Ensure Student Safety During Events: Continuously assess and monitor the environment during events to maintain the safety and well-being of all student participants. This includes proactive risk identification and timely intervention when necessary.
- Train and supervise School Event Volunteers on Safety Procedures: Provide comprehensive training for event volunteers, covering all aspects of the Safe Operating Procedures, including the proper and safe use of specialised equipment such as foam machines.
Position Description
- Maintain Event Equipment and Vehicles: Responsible for the regular maintenance and inspection of all event-related assets, including vehicles, to ensure they are in good working condition. Complete daily operational checklists and address any issues promptly to avoid disruptions during events.
- Mascot involvement (Monty): The mascot plays a vital role in energising the atmosphere and fostering school spirit at events. Enthusiastically greeting students with high-fives, playful gestures, and engaging antics, Being Monty helps create a welcoming and lively environment for the events you run.
Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
