Flamin Fabrications is looking for a reliable Laser Operator / CNC Press Brake Operator to join our team in Melton.
This position will initially be casual, with the intention of moving into a permanent full-time role for the right person.
We are a metal fabrication business specialising in laser cutting, CNC folding and general fabrication. Our work is varied, with a mix of one-off and repeat production jobs.
About the Role
The role will involve:
- Operating and monitoring CNC laser cutting equipment
- Setting up and operating CNC press brake
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
- Selecting tooling and setting up folding jobs
- Checking finished parts for accuracy and quality
- Loading and unloading materials
- Basic machine maintenance and workshop housekeeping
- Working with the fabrication team to keep jobs moving through production
- Following workshop and safety procedures
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience operating CNC laser cutting and/or press brake machinery
- Can read and understand fabrication drawings
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Can work independently once trained and understands what needs to be done
- Is reliable, punctual and consistent
- Works well as part of a small workshop team
- Has a good understanding of workshop safety
- Is willing to learn and take on different tasks when required
Experience operating both laser cutting and CNC press brake machinery would be highly regarded, however we are open to applicants who are experienced in one area and willing to learn the other.
