Disability Support Worker – Gold Coast
Flonac Health Services is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Disability Support Workers to join our growing team.
Our participants are located across the Gold Coast, from Beenleigh to Coolangatta, with many shifts available throughout the central Gold Coast, including Robina, Bonogin, Elanora, and surrounding suburbs.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide person-centred support to participants in their homes and the community, helping them achieve their goals while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- Support participants with mobility, transfers, and positioning, including the safe use of hoists, slide sheets, wheelchairs, and other mobility equipment.
- Assist with domestic duties, including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and tidy home environment.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement.
- Support participants to access their community, attend appointments, and participate in recreational and social activities.
- Safely administer medications in accordance with participant care plans and organisational policies.
- Transport participants to appointments and community activities using either your own vehicle or a Flonac company vehicle where required.
- Confidently operate and drive a wheelchair-accessible company van when required.
- Complete accurate progress notes and documentation following each shift.
What We're Looking For

- Experience with personal care and manual handling (including hoists and slide sheets) is highly regarded.
- Confidence driving a wheelchair-accessible van is desirable, or willingness to be trained.

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $36.40 – $80.08 per hour

- First Aid Certification (Required)
- Working with Children Check (Required)
