Warehouse Floor Operator – Vehicle Storage & Distribution
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Floor Operator to manage daily operations within our vehicle storage and distribution facility.
This role is responsible for coordinating vehicle movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) processes, and ensuring vehicles are stored, maintained, and dispatched safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inbound and outbound vehicle movements
- Maintain accurate inventory records (VIN tracking, stock control, status updates)
- Conduct vehicle condition inspections and complete damage reports
- Coordinate and support PDI activities
- Stage vehicles for transport dispatch
- Perform yard audits and stock reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and yard traffic management
- Liaise with transport providers and contractors
About You:
- 3+ years’ experience in automotive logistics, vehicle storage, or warehouse operations
- Experience in high-volume vehicle handling
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
- Familiar with PDI processes and vehicle inspections
- Strong capability in process optimisation and workflow design
- able to establish standardised yard operating procedures to improve efficiency
- eliminate duplicated handling and unnecessary movements.
- Confident using inventory systems and Microsoft Excel
- Valid driver’s licence (manual preferred)
Desirable:
- Forklift licence
- Experience in vehicle distribution centres or port operations
This is a fast-paced role requiring strong organisation skills, operational discipline, and the ability to work both indoors and outdoors.
