About this Position:
We are seeking a strategic and commercially minded finance professional who thrives on building strong partnerships, influencing decision-making and delivering meaningful financial insights. As our Management Accountant (Finance Business Partner), you will work closely with leaders across the organisation, providing trusted advice and analysis that drives informed decisions, enhances performance and supports Council's long-term sustainability.

What we trust you to deliver:
- Provide financial advice and decision support to Directors, Managers and key stakeholders.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial performance reporting.
- Deliver meaningful financial and operational insights that support strategic objectives.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Partner with business units to identify risks, opportunities and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement through benchmarking, innovation and best-practice financial management.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and champion a customer-focused approach across the organisation.
- Contribute to organisation-wide financial planning, reporting and performance management activities
What you will need to be successful:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Business.
- Membership of, or eligibility for membership of, a recognised professional accounting body.
- Extensive experience providing financial analysis, reporting and business advisory services.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capabilities.
- Proven ability to influence, consult and build productive relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills.
- Sound business acumen with the ability to translate complex financial information into practical business advice.
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach.
- Current Class C Driver Licence.
Full position description:
Full Time: 70 hours a fortnight
Salary: A competitive salary will be offered to the successful applicant, based on qualifications, skills and experience.
