Martin’s Bakery is a well-established local retail and wholesale bakery known for producing high-quality bread, pies, and cakes. We take pride in our craft and our strong reputation within the community for consistently great flavour and quality.
We are looking for a committed and dependable Pie Maker / Baker to join our Alstonville warehouse team and help us continue producing our signature range of pies from scratch.
About the Role
This is a hands-on production role focused on making high-quality pies in a fast-paced bakery environment. You will be involved in the full pie-making process—from preparing pastry and fillings through to baking and finishing products to a consistent standard.
No formal qualifications are required; however, some experience in food preparation and/or baking is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare pastry, crusts, and pie fillings following established recipes and standards
- Roll, assemble, and shape pies with consistency and attention to detail
- Bake pies, monitoring oven settings and bake quality
- Apply finishing touches, including glazing, decorating, and presentation
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with food safety standards
- Follow hygiene and food handling procedures at all times
- Assist with stock control and communicate ingredient needs
- Work collaboratively with the bakery team to meet daily production targets
About You
- Some experience in food handling, baking, or a production kitchen environment preferred (no formal qualifications required)
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working early mornings
- Able to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced setting
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistent quality
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Physically capable of standing for long periods and handling repetitive tasks
- Food Handler certification (or willingness to obtain)

- Full-time role: Monday to Friday, 5:00am – 1:00pm
