Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding districts. The service provides 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager to join the team in our Barry Collins Surgical Ward. The District Nursing and Midwifery Workforce is committed to providing safe, compassionate and person-centred care in collaboration with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams. As the Nurse Unit Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care while fostering a positive and supportive clinical environment.
The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for all aspects of the ward environment and is accountable for maintaining the highest standards of patient care within the unit. This role is central to the coordination of patient care, operational management and clinical leadership, ensuring the efficient use of resources and the delivery of safe, effective and quality nursing services. Working closely with medical, nursing and allied health teams, you will lead and support staff, drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to achieving organisational and patient care outcomes.
