What we are looking for:
Join our Recruitment Team and play a key role in building a skilled, community‑focused workforce that keeps the Fraser Coast thriving.
This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven role where your expertise in recruitment practices will directly support the services, projects and people that make our region such a great place to live.
What your day will look like:
Deliver end‑to‑end recruitment across internal, external, labour‑hire and casual pools
Ensure recruitment practices align with legislation, policies, and diversity & inclusion objectives
Contribute to the development and review of recruitment policies, procedures, programs and agreements
Provide insights and reporting on recruitment metrics, trends and candidate markets
Partner with managers to understand business needs and provide specialist advice, coaching and guidance
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes, tools and hiring manager capability

What you’ll need for success:
Broad generalist HR experience with a strong focus on recruitment, attraction and retention
Ability to analyse information, manage competing deadlines and adapt in a changing environment
Strong research and analytical capability across contemporary HR and recruitment issues
Proven ability to work collaboratively, exercise initiative, maintain confidentiality and work with limited supervision
Highly developed computer skills including Excel, Outlook, HRIS/data systems and the ability to produce high‑quality reports
What’s nice to have:
Diploma (AQF Level 5+) in Human Resource Management
Experience in high‑volume recruitment environments
Local government or public sector recruitment experience
- Valid Class C or CA driver licence (provisional or open)
