About the role:
As our Quality Care Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clinical excellence, safety, and compliance across a portfolio of residential aged care homes.
Working in partnership with operational and clinical leaders, you’ll provide expert advice, coaching, and escalation support, helping services deliver safe, person-centred, and evidence-based care.
This is a highly collaborative role focused on strengthening clinical governance, managing risk, and driving continuous improvement, while remaining independent of direct care delivery.
In this role, you will:
Provide expert clinical, quality, risk, and safety advice to support improved resident outcomes
Support leaders to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities using data, audits, and feedback
Act as a clinical escalation point for complex care issues, including deterioration, wounds, falls, infection prevention, and medication safety
Assist services to manage serious incidents, complaints, and regulatory reporting requirements
Strengthen workforce capability through coaching, mentoring, and education in partnership with clinical education teams
Support audit readiness, accreditation, and regulatory activities, ensuring ongoing compliance with quality standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, research, and innovation in care delivery
Essential qualifications & licences
Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse in residential aged care
Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel
Ability to satisfy all required probity checks and vaccinations in line with policy and legislation
Postgraduate qualifications (or working towards)
Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Lead training or willingness to undertake
