Site / Factory Boilermaker
We are looking for a Boilermaker to join our business and deliver across architectural steel and residential steel projects. Know how to read drawings, and have a builder mind, to get the project done. Attractive compensation is structured for the right type of person who can take accoutnability.
This role is suited to an experienced boilermaker or steel installer who knows how to weld, understands setouts and how they work, can get site work done. You will be responsible for making sure jobs are delivered properly on site according to drawings and instructions, including checking your work, coordinating with the guys, ensuring the geometry is correct, and ensuring the work is completed to the right standard, with minimum mistakes.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day site works and steel installation with Factory Work on offtimes
- Read and understand drawings, setouts, and site requirements
- Carry out and check measurements before and during installation
- Weld, fabricate, install with the team where required
- Coordinate Ute and Site Requirements for Equipment and Material
- Plan delivery of works allcoated and identify issues before they become delays
- Ensure site works are completed to a high-quality standard
- Report progress, issues, variations, and site requirements clearly
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has boilermaking, welding, steel fabrication, or steel installation experience
- Understands site setouts and can work from drawings
- Has experience in residential steel, architectural steel, stairs, balustrades, structural steel, gates, fences, or similar works
- Can communicate clearly
- Is reliable, accountable, practical, and organised
- Wants to step up into a foreman role and take ownership of site delivery down the road
- Can solve problems on site and keep jobs moving
This is a hands-on role for someone who can lead from the front. You must be comfortable working on the tools while also managing people, planning delivery, and making sure the job is completed properly.
Pay: $38.00 – $62.53 per hour
