About Us
The Law Artisan Distillery (The LAD) is a boutique nano-distillery and tasting garden tucked down a driveway on Duporth Avenue. We craft small-batch gins, vodkas, and amari right on site.
We aren't a high-volume, late-night nightclub—we are an intimate, premium craft venue (seating up to 20 in total in our gin garden and a cozy indoor bar). We focus on delivering top-tier customer experiences, side-by-side spirit flights, specialty Martinis, and introducing locals and visitors to handcrafted local spirits.
The Role
We are seeking a charismatic, self-motivated Bar & Tasting Host to run our boutique bar initially on Friday, and Saturday afternoons/evenings and later to include Thursdays or later open hours once profitability is established.
This is a unique hospitality role where your primary focus isn't just mixing drinks—it’s hosting guests, sharing our spirit story, and driving takeaway bottle sales.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests with warmth and helping them navigate our tasting flight menus.
- Pouring pre-batched signature cocktails, paired G&Ts, and spirit flights efficiently.
- Educating guests on our botanical profiles and making confident bottle recommendations.
- Maintaining a clean, welcoming environment both inside the bar and in the Gin Garden.

Who We Are Looking For
- Local Resident: Ideally living within 5–10 minutes of Duporth Avenue, Maroochydore.
- RSA Certified: Valid Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
- Sales Mindset & Charisma: Comfortable engaging with guests, telling a brand story, and closing retail bottle sales.
- Flexible Mindset: Because we feature an outdoor Gin Garden in an alleyway, shift hours are weather-dependent. A 12:00 PM weather/rain check applies on operational days.
- Reliable & Independent: Capable of opening, running, and closing a boutique bar environment solo.
