We are now seeking a Junior Solicitor to work across our practice areas of Property, Wills & Probate, Family Law and Migration.
Based in our office in the heart of Bankstown, the Junior Solicitor will:
* provide high-quality legal advice to a range of individual and corporate clients,
* manage client files end-to-end, efficiently, with focus on positive client outcomes and with all due diligence, care and attention, and
* contribute to business growth through development of long-term productive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Tasks will include:
* consulting with clients to take instructions, provide advice and create a strategic forward plan
* draft property-related documents such as contracts, leases, easements
* draft court documents including applications, affidavits, and briefs for counsel
* draft wills and co-ordinate compliant execution
* liaise with clients, barristers and representatives of other parties, courts and other stakeholders to achieve favourable client outcomes
* attend courts for directions, compliance and readiness hearings, dispute resolution conferences, mentions, interim and final hearings
* undertake research on legislation and policy
The successful candidate will have:
* Bachelor degree in Law
* Current NSW practicing certificate
* Working with Children Check – or eligibility to obtain
* Minimum 12 months’ post-admission experience across at least three areas of property law, family law, local court (civil and criminal) and migration law matters
* demonstrated experience managing matters end-to-end
* experience identifying risks and preparing comprehensive written legal advice outlining risks, options and potential outcomes
* experience using electronic conveyancing platforms (e.g. PEXA) and digital legal practice management systems (e.g. Smokeball, Leap, Migration Manager)
* understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks across at least three areas of property, family, probate and migration jurisdictions
* outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
* strong attention to detail.
For this full-time role, we are offering a base salary of $80 000 + super.
