Home Crew AU Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced, highly organised and commercially minded Home Maintenance and Renovation Estimator to join our growing Melbourne team.
Home Crew provides home maintenance, renovation and exterior improvement services across Greater Melbourne. Our core work includes decks, pergolas, rotten timber repairs, fascia and eaves, weatherboards, windows, painting and bathroom renovations.
This role is ideal for someone who combines strong construction knowledge with excellent communication, sales and negotiation skills.
The successful candidate will attend residential properties, assess the required work, prepare accurate quotations, explain the proposed scope to clients and help convert suitable enquiries into confirmed projects.
This is not a purely technical estimating position. You must be confident speaking with homeowners, identifying their priorities, presenting solutions and closing work while protecting the company’s margins and standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Attend approximately 6–10 appointments per day
- Inspect, measure and photograph required work
- Prepare clear and accurate quotations
- Explain proposed work and pricing to clients
- Follow up quotations and close suitable jobs
- Identify risks, access issues and additional work
- Provide complete notes and job handovers
- Manage your own schedule and travel efficiently
Requirements
- Residential construction, renovation or maintenance knowledge
- Estimating, quoting or construction sales experience
- Strong communication, negotiation and sales skills
- Ability to prepare quotations using Google Docs or similar software
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working independently
- Valid driver licence and reliable vehicle
- ABN and appropriate insurance
- Laptop, mobile phone and ability to use a mobile printer
- Comfortable with extensive daily driving
Trade experience is highly regarded but not essential.
Important Role Requirements
This position involves substantial daily driving across Melbourne.
Applicants must be comfortable attending multiple appointments in different suburbs and managing their own route efficiently.
This is a contractor role. The successful candidate must have an ABN, appropriate insurance and the equipment required to perform the role.
This position is not suitable for someone seeking a desk-only estimating role, a limited-travel role or a position without sales responsibility.
