Empowering Young Minds Psychology is a growing private practice that works with young people aged between 5 and 21 years of age. We are seeking a warm, empathetic independent Psychologist to join us in our passion for creating a safe, supportive, empowering therapeutic space.
We are offering an independent Contractor position for registered psychologists, clinical psychologists or educational & developmental psychologists with experience/training in working with children and teenagers to consult clients in Essendon. We are looking for someone interested in working 1 day a week.
What we offer:
- Payments– We offer excellent renumeration with the percentage split structure based on a 50 minute clinical hour session that results in a take home range of $157 to $175.
- Referrals- Established relationships with GPs, Schools and other providers (e.g. NDIS providers) resulting in regular referrals.
- Admin- Administration support including referrals, diary management, access to printing, and internet.
- Support - Given we understand how isolating some private practice work can be, we provide regular peer supervision (weekly for new graduates) tailored to individual needs. This includes access to therapy resources and psychometric testing materials at no cost to you.
- Flexibility- We offer flexible work practices to best match your work/life balance and will structure your day and sessions around your availability and clinical preferences. Also focus on your areas of special interest or diversify your experience with our referral base.
Requirements
- Are fully registered with AHPRA as a psychologist.
- Willing to obtain an ABN, Medicare Provider Number and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- Experience working with a broad spectrum of presentations common in young people with training in evidence based practices.
- Ability to work independently and part of a team.
- Is passionate about supporting young people and upholds our values towards clients by engaging in a therapeutic style that is evidence-based, client-centred, warm, empathetic, inclusive and embraces diversity.
- Sound skills in clinical assessment, evidence-based treatment and a range of therapeutic approaches (desired but not essential).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, report writing, and record keeping.
- Experience working with children and adolescents.
- Experience working with neuro diverse populations.
