Gardener – 1–2 Days Per Week | Great Role for a Student
Love working outdoors, take pride in doing a good job, and want a role where your effort is actually noticed?
We're a growing garden maintenance business looking for a reliable Gardener to join our team 1–2 days per week.
This could be a great fit for a student studying horticulture, landscaping or a related field, or someone who simply enjoys working outdoors and wants regular part-time work alongside other commitments.
You don't need to know everything from day one. We're happy to teach the right person. What matters most to us is your attitude, reliability and willingness to work hard and learn.
We look after a range of quality residential and commercial gardens, so you'll get plenty of variety, hands-on experience and the opportunity to develop your skills.
What we offer
- 1–2 days of work per week
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Regular, reliable work
- Flexibility that can work well around study
- A friendly, down-to-earth team
- Hands-on training and the opportunity to learn new skills
- Quality tools and equipment
- A variety of gardens and properties to work on
- A workplace where we work hard, have a laugh and take pride in what we achieve
What you'll be doing
You'll work alongside our team carrying out high-quality garden and lawn maintenance, including:
- Lawn mowing and edging
- Hedge trimming
- Pruning
- Weeding and garden care
- Blowing down and keeping sites tidy
- Planting and general garden improvements
- Garden clean-ups
- Using and looking after our tools and equipment
- Helping the team get through the day's jobs efficiently
- Making sure every property looks great before we leave
Who we're looking for
Experience is definitely a bonus, but attitude is more important to us.
You'll suit our team if you:
- Turn up when you say you will
- Take pride in doing things properly
- Enjoy physical, outdoor work
- Aren't afraid of a hard day's work
- Have a positive attitude
- Can take direction and are keen to learn
- Notice the little things rather than walking past them
- Respect clients, teammates, equipment and properties
- Can work well as part of a team
- Want to improve your gardening skills
A driver's licence is highly regarded, and previous gardening, landscaping or outdoor work experience would be great — but we're open to the right person who is keen to learn.
What we're about
Our business is built around four simple values:
Reliability – Turn up, communicate and do what you say you'll do.
High Quality – Take pride in your work and don't settle for "good enough."
Fun – Work hard, enjoy the day and have a laugh with the people around you.
Work Hard – Get stuck in, help your teammates and don't stand around waiting to be told what to do.
We're looking for someone who cares about the end result, wants to learn and enjoys being part of a good team.
Interested?
