About the Role
BAKE’D is preparing to open a new venue in Bankstown, and we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Store Manager to lead the opening team and manage the venue’s daily operations.
The successful applicant will initially complete paid training and venue preparation at our established BAKE’D Punchbowl location. Once BAKE’D Bankstown opens, Bankstown will become their regular place of work.
This role is suited to someone who takes ownership, leads from the front and can maintain strong standards across customer service, staff performance, labour control, cleanliness and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day front-of-house operation
- Recruit, train and support the new Bankstown team
- Prepare and manage staff rosters in line with business needs
- Monitor labour costs and use staff efficiently
- Lead opening, closing and cash-handling procedures
- Maintain high standards of customer service, coffee quality and venue presentation
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality and performance
- Resolve customer complaints professionally
- Manage stock levels and communicate ordering requirements
- Ensure cleaning, food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures are followed
- Complete required daily and weekly reports
- Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager and senior management
- Support the team during busy service periods
- Maintain BAKE’D policies, procedures and brand standards
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience managing a café, restaurant or hospitality venue
- Strong leadership and team-management skills
- Experience preparing rosters and managing labour costs
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Confident with POS systems, cash handling and end-of-day procedures
- Reliable, organised and accountable
- Able to remain calm and make decisions under pressure
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
- Able to complete initial paid training at BAKE’D Punchbowl
- Barista experience is beneficial but not essential

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
