The purpose of the Global Maintenance Execution Planning Lead is to provide global leadership and governance for maintenance execution planning by translating predictive insights into fully executable, resource-ready maintenance plans that ensure safe, standardised and efficient maintenance delivery across all Epiroc Customer Centres.
This key position acts as a key enabler of the Epiroc Uptime framework by embedding data-driven maintenance strategies into planning workflows to maximise asset availability, reduce unplanned downtime and deliver measurable customer value. The role is responsible for ensuring Service Master Data, maintenance strategies and machine rebuild programs are consistently planned and executed, enabling Epiroc to deliver Uptime as a Service.
Key Responsibilities of the role:
Maintenance Planning & Execution:
- Provide global leadership for maintenance execution planning across Epiroc Customer Centres.
- Translate predictive alerts, condition monitoring insights and analytics outputs into fully scoped and executable maintenance plans.
- Integrate predictive maintenance into planning and scheduling workflows across CMMS/ERP platforms.
- Ensure all maintenance work is fully planned prior to execution, including scope, sequencing, duration, labour, materials, tooling and contractor requirements.
- Establish and standardise machine rebuild scopes of work and support Customer Centres in developing executable maintenance plans.
- Drive improvements in schedule compliance and increase planned versus reactive maintenance.
- Align maintenance planning with customer uptime targets and operational requirements.
Service Master Data & Governance:
- Lead the implementation and governance of Service Master Data across all Epiroc Customer Centres.
- Ensure maintenance planning is driven by S3000L-aligned master data and standardised job plans.
- Govern the quality and completeness of maintenance task lists, frequencies, labour estimates, materials, tools and work instructions.
- Establish global planning standards and ensure alignment with the PSD Service Operating Model and ISO 55000 Asset Management principles.
- Drive continuous feedback and improvement between planning, execution and maintenance engineering teams.
Digital and Continuous Improvement:
- Integrate maintenance planning processes with predictive analytics platforms, condition monitoring systems and CMMS/ERP workflows.
- Support implementation of the Epiroc Uptime framework and digital service architecture.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning effectiveness through digital technologies and data-driven decision making.
- Develop and monitor planning KPIs including planning quality, schedule compliance, execution efficiency and rework reduction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives linking execution outcomes, analytics and planning optimisation.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as the global planning interface between Maintenance Execution, Engineering, Product Support, Digital and Analytics teams.
- Support Epiroc Customer Centres in embedding predictive maintenance planning practices.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to standardise planning processes and improve maintenance performance.
- Build strong relationships across the global organisation to support delivery of uptime and customer value.
Administration
- Develop and maintain global planning standards, documentation and governance processes.
- Support rollout of maintenance planning tools, systems and best practices.
- Monitor planning performance and provide reporting to support strategic decision making.
- Undertake additional duties consistent with the responsibilities of the role.
