Wollongong Private Hospital provides all major services including an intensive care unit, ten operating theatres, cardiac and vascular Labs and an Endoscopy suite. Surgical specialties include Cardiothoracic, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric, Head and Neck, Gynaecological, Urology, Colorectal, upper GI, General, Vascular and Plastics.
Job Description
Wollongong Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse (IV Qualified) to join our busy Vascular/Surgical ward. Join the dynamic clinical team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care across a diverse range of Vascular/Surgical patients. This is a permanent, part-time position. The successful candidate must be willing to work nightshift.
Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to patients across a Vascular and Surgical environment.

Assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate the care delivery needs of patients.

Check, prepare and administer medications, including IV medications, in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Promote infection prevention and control, patient safety and quality clinical outcomes.
About You
You are a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse with strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You have previous experience working within a vascular and/or surgical ward and are confident providing care in a busy hospital environment.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong time management abilities and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. You are able to maintain positive working relationships while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Current registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse.

Minimum two years' acute nursing experience.

Medication endorsed and IV qualified.

Strong clinical assessment, observation and patient care skills.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong time management and organisational skills.

Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and professional practice.

Excellent communication skills and a positive approach to working with patients and colleagues.

Ability to work a flexible rotating roster, including afternoon and nightshift.
