Sapphire Support is looking for a dedicated Team Leader to guide our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team in a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) house — helping participants live the life they choose, with dignity, choice, and genuine independence at the centre of everything we do.
This is more than a leadership role. It's a chance to shape a team culture, mentor incredible support workers, and directly influence the everyday outcomes of the people we support.
What You'll Be Doing

Leading and supervising a rostered support team within a 24/7 SIL/SDA home
- Championing NDIS Practice Standards and embedding quality, safety, and compliance into daily practice
- Managing the operational rhythm of the house — rosters, documentation, incident management, and continuous improvement
- Modelling person-centred practice and empowering your team to do the same
- Being the go-to point of contact for participants, families, and your team
What You'll Bring

Demonstrated experience as a Team Leader/ House Leader within disability, ideally in SIL/SDA
- Experience with behaviour support, manual handling, mobility support, and hoisting
- Experience providing personal care
- Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
- Ability to create a calm and homely environment for participants and staff alike
- Commitment to dignity, choice, and inclusion in every interaction
Qualifications & Requirements

Full Australian Working Rights
- Certificate III or IV in Aged, Disability Care, Individual Support or similar, or Nursing Qualifications or equivalent qualifications
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certificates (HLTAID009/0011)
- Current Driver’s License and Comprehensive Car Insurance
- NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
- NDIS Orientation Module
- WWCC (Blue Card) – preferred but not essential
- Manual Handling Certificate (HLTWHS005)
- Assist Clients with Medication Cert (HLTHPS006)
