Moorilla was one of Tasmania's first vineyards, and Stoney Vineyard is the oldest in Tasmania's Coal River Valley. These exceptional wineries operate together under the guidance of Winemaker Conor van der Reest and the Moorilla team, as part of the wider Mona family. As an important addition to this team, Moorilla is looking for an experienced and passionate hospitality professional to join as a Cellar Door Supervisor.
This dynamic and customer facing role will be located at both of our cellar doors (Moorilla and Domaine A) and requires someone who enjoys learning with and educating staff and customers. In this role you will provide support to the Retail Sales and Operations Manager through staff management, customer engagement and leading operations.
You will need an enthusiasm and knowledge for wine and exceptional customer service skills, as you will be leading wine tastings and supporting the team to showcase our Moorilla and Domaine A products to our diverse customers.
The Gig:

Provide outstanding and informative service to customers and lead other staff to do the same, showcasing our Moorilla and Domaine A products

Lead wine tastings alongside the cellar door team, and support the Retail Sales and Operations Manager with VIP groups and events

Process sales through our retail system and perform end of day procedures as required

Support the Retail Sales and Operations Manager with training and educating new staff

Maintain equipment and stock inventories and regularly perform stock takes

Supervise and lead cleaning and work health and safety practices for the cellar door

Undertake administrative tasks as required
The You:

Prior experience in a similar role, or significant hospitality experience coupled with a strong wine passion and/or knowledge

Professionally presented, with highly developed interpersonal skills, and able to deliver a high standard of customer service

Capable of maintaining engagement and productivity when working autonomously and when supervising staff

Experienced with computer-based and administrative tasks

Must hold a valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate and a current driver’s license

Availability and flexibility with working hours, days and locations
