Hunt Community Child Care Centre is seeking a warm, enthusiastic and nurturing Early Childhood Educator to join our team, working with children in our Babies/Toddlers rooms.
We are a community-based early childhood service committed to high-quality education and care, strong relationships with families, and creating environments where children feel safe, secure, respected and supported to thrive.
We are looking for an educator who genuinely enjoys working with babies and toddlers and understands the importance of responsive relationships, consistent care and meaningful interactions during the first years of life.
About the Role
Working collaboratively with the Room Leader and educator team, you will:
- Build warm, secure and responsive relationships with babies and toddlers
- Support children's individual routines, wellbeing and developmental needs
- Provide nurturing and respectful care throughout the day
- Contribute to a play-based educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Observe children's learning and contribute to documentation, planning and reflection
- Create engaging learning environments based on children's interests, strengths and needs
- Support safe sleep, feeding, nappy changing and other care routines respectfully and safely
- Communicate warmly and professionally with families
- Work collaboratively with your Room Leader and fellow educators
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development and continuous improvement
- Actively contribute to Hunt's positive and supportive team culture
About You
We would love to hear from you if you are:
- Certificate III or Diploma qualified in Early Childhood Education and Care, or hold an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
- Passionate about working with babies and toddlers
- Warm, patient and responsive in your interactions with children
- Able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Reliable, professional and willing to learn
- Confident communicating with families and colleagues
- Committed to reflective practice and ongoing professional development
- Knowledgeable about, or willing to further develop your knowledge of, the EYLF and National Quality Framework
Experience working with children aged 0–3 years is highly regarded, but we also welcome applications from educators who are enthusiastic about developing their experience with this age group.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must hold or be willing to maintain all required qualifications and checks, including:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or ACECQA-approved equivalent
- Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training as required for the role
- Child Protection training
- Red Nose Safe Sleep training, or willingness to complete this training
- Valid working rights in Australia
