This is a great opportunity to be part of the world’s largest bulk export port authority, encompassing the operating ports of Ashburton, Dampier, Port Hedland and Varanus Island, and five future port sites. The Electrical Principal East is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient performance of Pilbara Ports’ owned electrical assets within the Port of Port Hedland. You will provide leadership, direction and technical oversight to electrical teams across the Utah Bulk Handling Facility, Eastern Harbour and Lumsden Point, ensuring maintenance activities align with legislative requirements, Pilbara Ports policies and strategic operational objectives.
The Electrical Principal East reports to and works closely with the Terminal Operations Manager East Pilbara, Electrical Supervisors, Asset Planning, Engineering and Major Projects teams to drive continuous improvement, effective maintenance planning and contractor performance.
About You

You are a qualified and experienced electrical professional with strong capability across large-scale fixed plant operations, bringing proven expertise in maintenance planning, reliability centred maintenance and shutdown execution. You apply structured, data-driven approaches, including root cause analysis and reliability strategies, to improve asset performance and drive continuous improvement.
You have demonstrated experience coordinating and overseeing large maintenance programs, including the supervision of teams and contractors. With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you effectively monitor performance, identify opportunities and deliver practical, outcome-focused solutions in complex operational environments.
You are a collaborative and adaptable communicator who builds productive stakeholder relationships and confidently manages competing priorities.
