Café Manager / Barista – Full-Time Position
Location: Coomera, Gold Coast QLD
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Café Manager with strong barista skills to join our busy waterfront café and restaurant in Coomera.
This is a full-time position suited to someone who can confidently lead a team, manage day-to-day café operations and consistently produce high-quality coffee.
About the Role
As Café Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Managing the daily operations of the café
- Leading, training and supervising front-of-house and café staff
- Preparing high-quality espresso coffee and maintaining consistency
- Strong latte art skills are highly desirable
- Managing opening and closing procedures
- Rostering staff and managing shifts
- Maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Monitoring stock levels, ordering and receiving supplies
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety requirements are followed
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Managing POS/EFTPOS and daily cash reconciliation
- Maintaining coffee equipment and ensuring the coffee station is clean and organised
- Working closely with the kitchen and management team
- Helping maintain a positive, professional and productive workplace culture
- Ensuring the café operates efficiently during busy breakfast and lunch periods
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Café Manager, Café Supervisor or Senior Barista
- Strong barista and coffee-making skills
- Excellent knowledge of espresso coffee preparation
- Confident latte art skills
- Experience operating a busy café
- Strong leadership and team-management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety requirements
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work weekends and public holidays when required
- Australian hospitality experience is highly desirable

Employer sponsorship may be available for the successful eligible candidate under the Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa pathway, subject to the candidate meeting all applicable Australian Government and visa requirements.
Sponsorship is not guaranteed and will depend on eligibility, the nominated occupation, relevant qualifications and experience, English-language requirements and applicable Department of Home Affairs requirements.
