About the Role
As the Facilities Partner, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the NSW Electoral Commission’s workplace facilities and office accommodation, ensuring they are safe, functional and compliant with relevant legislation, policies and standards. Reporting to the Manager Safety and Facilities, this is a hands-on operational role suited to an experienced facilities management professional. Ideally you will have experience working within the public sector, demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, and have the ability to effectively manage competing priorities while delivering high-quality outcomes.
The role is Ongoing Full-time position.

Key knowledge, experience and essential requirements
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- Proven Facilities Management experience, preferably within a public sector environment
- Working knowledge of NSW building codes and regulations, Australia Standards, OH&S legislation
- Experience in building strong networks with key stakeholder, including with other government agencies and with external service providers.
- High level written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and the ability to relate effectively with individuals and groups at all levels both internal and external to the organisation
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of facilities management policies and procedures as well as practical experience working with office locations in establishing office needs and requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in the supervision of building works, contractor management, and contract preparation/administration.
- Ability to take prompt action to resolve service delivery or facilities-related issues by analysing and implementing effective solutions that drive positive outcomes, improving the quality and efficiency of support for office locations and staff.
- No affiliations with political parties, candidates, elected members, third-party campaigners, donors or registered lobbyists that could undermine the political impartiality of the Electoral Commission or that are otherwise inconsistent with its Political Neutrality Policy.
- Satisfactory criminal record check result.
