- Substantive, varied ER portfolio across a large and diverse care organisation
- Trusted advisor role with real influence on workplace culture
- Competitive salary, hybrid flexibility and genuine scope to grow your ER career
Employment Relations Partner | Kanda | Brisbane
ER work done well rarely makes the news - and that's the point. The performance conversation that gets handled early. The investigation that's fair, thorough and defensible. The leader who walks away from a coaching session knowing exactly what to do next. That's the work - and when it's done properly, it quietly shapes the culture of an entire organisation.
This is that role.
Reporting to the Head of Employment Relations and Safety, you'll be a trusted advisor to leaders across a large, diverse workforce - providing practical, commercially focused ER support across the full spectrum of employee relations matters. You'll manage complex cases end-to-end, coach leaders through difficult people situations, and contribute to initiatives that build genuine ER capability across the business.
It's a role for someone who's confident in their expertise, comfortable with complexity, and motivated by getting to the right outcome - not just the compliant one.
What you'll be doing
- Managing a varied portfolio of ER matters end-to-end - performance, misconduct, grievances, workplace investigations and complex employee issues - with sound judgement and a solutions-focused approach
- Partnering with operational leaders to provide balanced, practical advice that supports good decision-making while keeping the organisation compliant with employment legislation, industrial obligations and policy
- Coaching and building the capability of leaders so they can manage people matters confidently and early - before they become complex
- Supporting Fair Work conciliations and hearings, and engaging effectively with unions and employee representatives
- Contributing to policy development, compliance initiatives and broader projects that strengthen workplace culture across the organisation
- Building strong stakeholder relationships that position ER as a genuine business partner, not just a compliance function
You're the right person if...
- You have demonstrated experience in an ER, People & Culture or similar role - ideally within community services, health or a similarly regulated environment
- Your knowledge of Australian employment law and modern awards is strong - familiarity with SCHADS, Clerks and Nursing awards is a genuine advantage
- You've run workplace investigations and managed Fair Work matters and you're confident doing it again
- You give advice that's practical and commercially grounded - not just technically correct
- You hold a Diploma or higher qualification in Human Resource Management or a related discipline
- You're organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working across HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office
