About the Role
This is not your typical Service Desk role.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and technically capable Level 2 Service Desk Officer who is passionate about technology, loves solving problems, and is ready to take the next step in their IT career.
You will become a trusted member of our Technology Services team, providing exceptional support to students, teachers and professional staff while mentoring Level 1 Service Desk Officers and tackling more complex technical challenges.
What makes this role truly unique is the opportunity to spend one day each week embedded within our Network and Infrastructure team, gaining practical experience in systems administration and enterprise networking. You'll develop real-world technical skills while contributing to live projects that directly support the School's operations.
About You
As our Level 2 Service Desk Officer, you will hold:
- A relevant tertiary degree or qualification
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a Level 1–2 support environment
- Excellent technological literacy across a range of applications and hardware.
- Qualifications/experience with SCCM and/or JAMF Pro
- Demonstrated and extensive experience with Apple devices, including desktops, laptops and mobile devices, M365
- Experience with Windows devices, including desktops, laptops and mobile devices, is desirable
- Experience with switch configuration and troubleshooting network issues.
- Experience with Extreme switches is desirable.
- The ability to work collaboratively with other members of the team
- The ability to implement initiatives, project delivery and change management
- A mature work discipline, time management and task prioritisation
- An ability to document business processes in a simple, auditable and ordered state
- Exemplary customer service skills through all methods of delivery (face-to-face, verbal, written etc).

- A valid ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card
- A current National Police Check; and
- Full working rights within Australia.
