This position instructs engaging group exercise classes that motivate participants of all fitness levels to achieve their health and wellness goals in a safe, supportive environment. This can be either in the pool or at the sports stadium.
WORK TASKS + RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
Provide a child safe environment.
Be professionally presented at all times.
Instruct engaging & safe fitness activities.
Develop and promote new classes and activities.
Plan and prepare classes as per class/activity plans.
Instructing from various locations such as indoor, outdoors, water and land based.
Check and mark class attendance.
Effective and friendly communication with students, parents and carers.
Setup with correct equipment in designated class areas.
Pack up equipment at the end of the session in a neat and tidy fashion.
Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Facilities Emergency Action Plan.
Comply with facility safety, training, and document control.
Take reasonable care for your own health and safety, and for the health and safety of others.
Setting up in a timely manner to start classes at designated time.
Maintain industry qualifications, accreditation and professional development courses.
