As we prepare to open our exciting new branch in Caringbah, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Full-Time Café Manager to lead our team and help establish Soulte as a destination for outstanding food, coffee, and hospitality.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced café environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences while developing a high-performing team.
About the Role
As Café Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring smooth service, maintaining high standards, and creating a positive and productive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all daily café operations, ensuring efficient and seamless service.
- Lead, motivate, train, and support a team of baristas, front-of-house staff, and café all-rounders.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer enquiries professionally.
- Oversee staff rostering, recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, coffee consistency, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage supplier relationships.
- Manage daily cash handling, POS reconciliation, and end-of-day procedures.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health and safety, and company policies.
- Work closely with ownership to achieve sales, labour, and profitability targets.
- Foster a positive team culture that reflects Soulte's values and commitment to hospitality.
About You
We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and enjoys leading from the front.
To be successful, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Café Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor in a busy café or hospitality venue.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Barista experience with excellent coffee knowledge.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with stock control, ordering, and rostering.
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.
- The ability to remain calm and organised in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings as required.
