About the Role
We are currently seeking a Resident Services Coordinator to join our team at The Woniora. This is a hands-on and dynamic role, reporting to the Village Manager, where you will play a key part in delivering outstanding service and creating an exceptional resident experience. This is a 12-month role ideally 5hrs/day Monday-Thursday, there may be some flexibility to negotiate different hours and days. This role offers variety and autonomy, with responsibilities across reception, resident engagement, events, and day-to-day village operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a professional and welcoming reception experience for residents, visitors, and contractors
- Respond to resident enquiries and provide exceptional customer service
- Coordinate village communications including newsletters, events, and resident updates
- Support and organise resident events, social activities and café operations
- Manage bookings, payments, and event coordination
- Build strong relationships with residents and committees to foster an engaged community
- Assist with new resident move-ins and maintain accurate resident records
- Coordinate maintenance requests and liaise with contractors
- Support presentation and cleanliness of shared spaces and display apartments
- Assist the Village Manager with tours, administration, and daily operations
- Provide support during emergencies and maintain safety and compliance procedures
About You
You are a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a people-focused environment. You enjoy building relationships, delivering outstanding service, and creating a positive community atmosphere. You bring a can-do attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a relaxed yet sometimes fast-paced setting.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in customer service, administration, hospitality, or a similar role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and professional presentation
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team
- Strong IT skills (MS Office, CRM systems, Canva or similar)
- Experience in events coordination or community engagement (desirable)
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Understanding of retirement living or aged care sector (advantageous but not essential)
