The Role
Join Adbri as a Process Engineer and play a key role in optimising cement manufacturing performance across safety, quality, productivity and sustainability outcomes. Working within a high-performing technical team, you will drive process improvements, troubleshoot production challenges, lead root cause investigations and identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

Optimise integrated cement plant performance to maximise productivity, product quality and operational efficiency.

Monitor plant performance and investigate process issues, implementing effective and sustainable solutions.

Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, reliability, energy efficiency and cost reduction.

Provide technical guidance on day-to-day process adjustments to achieve optimal plant performance.

Coordinate and support maintenance planning activities, including down day preparation, execution and review.

Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations into plant stoppages, process excursions and performance losses.

Review proposed plant modifications and provide technical recommendations to improve outcomes.

Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve sustainability and enhance manufacturing performance.

Partner with Technical, Production and Maintenance teams to deliver process improvement projects.

Support product development initiatives in collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams.

Investigate and implement opportunities to improve energy efficiency and reduce production costs.

Maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance and operational excellence.
About You
-
Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Processing or a related discipline.

Experience within heavy industry, manufacturing, minerals processing or continuous process operations.

Experience in cement, lime, mining, minerals processing or similar industrial environments will be highly regarded.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement practical solutions.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.

Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence and engage stakeholders.

Self-motivated, proactive and eager to learn within a complex manufacturing environment.

Experience leading investigations, process improvement initiatives or root cause analyses is desirable.

Approximately 5+ years' industry experience is preferred, however candidates with relevant experience from similar industries are encouraged to apply
