As a Deputy Principal, you will join an experienced leadership team in a complex educational setting where academic excellence, wellbeing and high quality teaching are central to our identity. Timetable leadership is a core component of this role. Another key responsibility of this role is the development and leadership of a new program, Chatswood High School’s Institute of Academic Excellence, an initiative designed to strengthen academic achievement for students in Years 7–12 through enhanced learning pathways and partnerships with leading universities.

Proven leadership in whole school curriculum, staffing and timetable management and construction, with the expertise to design, implement and maintain a complex timetable that adapts to dynamic changes throughout the year.
Demonstrated ability to lead a team to strengthen teaching practice and achieve significant improvement in student learning outcomes.
Demonstrated experience in managing complex wellbeing and behaviour matters, supporting students and families with high needs circumstances, and driving improved engagement, attendance and positive behaviour.
Demonstrated experience in leading complex assessment processes and systems, with the ability to strengthen procedures that empower students, staff and families and improve the consistency, clarity and effectiveness of assessment practice.
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
