We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Site Coordinator to join our Tasmanian terminal operations team at our Devonport fuel facility.
Reporting to the State Operations Manager, you will lead a small team of two and be responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and efficient terminal operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on leadership position and is passionate about operational excellence and continuous improvement.
This role is a full-time role with working days being Monday to Friday with some additional hours required outside of this when shipments come in on evenings, weekends or public holidays.
Job Description

Champion Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) performance, fostering a culture of Goal Zero and zero harm.

Ensure site compliance with HSSE regulations, including management system implementation, WorkSafe and EPA audits, and assurance activities.

Maintain emergency response readiness, including procedure reviews and equipment testing to current standards.

Lead and develop your team, promoting inclusive leadership and strong employee engagement.

Oversee training and competency development for site operations staff.

Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement in safety and risk management.

Lead asset integrity planning and execution across capital and maintenance programs.

Liaise effectively with third-party providers and our Joint Venture partner.

Collaborate daily with Viva Energy’s supply operations team.

Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders including regulators, local council, and the community.

Manage shipping schedules, product availability, and quality assurance processes.

Efficient operation of the terminal, including personal completion of operational activities such as monitoring, sampling and testing fuels, controlling maintenance works through the permit to work system, supporting truck loading operations, inspecting plant and equipment, and the receipt of fuels from ship imports.
