As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, client-centred support within a residential setting. Working under regular supervision, you’ll help create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment while empowering clients through a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach.
Your key responsibilities will be to:

Assist clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation and accessing medications

Respond to any emergencies by accessing required internal or external support service

Assist with the coordination of client attendance at different programs, services and community meetings

Assist in general supervision of the clients throughout the services to ensure appropriate support

Collaborate with Unit Coordinators and other staff by providing client coordination and monitoring
-
Contribute to the general running of the centre and undertake shift checks as required

Complete a range of other administrative tasks for the efficient running of the centre

Ensure correct procedures are followed in relation to petty cash reimbursements, rent payments and occupation fees
Requirements for Success
-
Relevant experience in homelessness and working in residential setting
-
Comprehensive understanding of the issues and needs of service users particularly homelessness

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
