The Fig Trees Disability Services is an established NDIS Provider hiring Casual Disability Support Workers in Adelaide's Southern Suburbs. Your Position: Working directly with our participants, you will operationalise tailored support frameworks. By keeping the participant at the heart of your work, you will help them live autonomously, participate in the local community, and enjoy an enhanced quality of life.
Core Responsibilities:
- Personal Support: Help with meals, hygiene, dressing, and grooming while maintaining client dignity.
- Community & Connection: Accompany clients to social events, encourage inclusion, and offer companion care.
- Independence: Teach and reinforce life skills (communication, domestic tasks, and routines).
- Home Support: Help manage light housework, shopping, and general home duties.
- Compliance: Complete documentation and ensure adherence to all NDIS safety standards.
Our Expectations:
- A Certificate III/IV in Disability (or a related industry course).
- 6 months of professional disability care experience is a major plus.
- Clear communication, natural problem-solving abilities, great time management, and standard computer skills.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Qualification relevant to the industry
- Driver's Licence & Reliable, Comprehensively Insured Vehicle.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates.
- Valid NDIS Worker Check, WWCC, National Police Certificate.
- Completed NDIS Induction Modules.
- Manual Handling & Infection Control training.
- Smartphone.
