Our clinics in Albany are currently seeking a friendly and organised Medical Receptionist to join the team.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity , working Monday to Friday , with shifts scheduled between 7:00am and 5:30pm. The role also includes a Saturday morning shift approximately every 6–8 weeks (once trained).
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, playing an important role in creating a positive and professional patient experience.
This is a fast-paced role where you’ll be managing multiple priorities, assisting a high volume of patients and working closely with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The role can be challenging while you’re learning our systems, processes and radiology procedures, so resilience, adaptability and a willingness to learn are essential. With comprehensive training and support, you’ll build your confidence and capability to thrive in the role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting patients warmly and assisting with check-in procedures.
- Answering a high volume of emails and phone calls promptly and handling enquiries professionally.
- Advising patients of the required preparation prior to relevant scans.
- Processing a range of billing procedures, including private, Medicare, Workers Compensation and DVA.
- Managing competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and providing a high level of patient care.
- Collaborating closely with clerical and technical staff, radiologists and referrers.
Developing a strong understanding of radiology processes, systems and procedures through comprehensive training.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage appointments and patient flow.
- Confidence working across multiple screens and systems.
Ability to drive to both Albany clinics for shifts.
