After-Care delivers care to people living on the Mornington Peninsula, City of Frankston and surrounding areas. Our team is built on employees at all levels of the company having first-hand experience providing care to frail older people and people with a disability. What's involved?
This position involves providing excellent care and support to client's of After-Care who live with an age-related ailment or disability.
As as After-Care carer you will assist clients with:
- Personal Care
- Meal Preparation
- Transport
- Community Access
- Domestic Assistance
- Household tasks
- In-home respite care
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Certificate III Individual Support
- Previous experience in Aged Care or disability required, home care desirable
- High level of written and verbal communication and customer service
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team
- Understanding and commitment to person-centred practices
- Ability to utilise smartphone application
Child Safe Policy
After-Care is committed to child safety. We have zero tolerance of child abuse. Our robust human resources, recruitment and vetting practices are strictly adhered to during the application and interviewing process. Applicants should be aware that we carry out working with children, police records and reference checks (as we see fit) and NDIS screening to ensure that we are recruiting the right people.
As part of your role, you will be working with (children, people with a disability, people who are vulnerable etc). It is your obligation to always ensure their safety and report any concerns that you have, in line with our duty of care obligations. You will be required to regularly provide the necessary working with children, police records and references and NDIS Screening checks.
We have zero tolerance when it comes to abuse of any kind and will take disciplinary action including and up to termination of employment, should we determine that abuse has taken place or there has been a failure to report any suspected or alleged abuse.
