We're looking for an exceptional performance marketing professional to shape the future of customer growth across Viva Leisure's portfolio of brands, with a strong focus on Zoo Fit, Club Lime and Plus Fitness.
Working across a diverse portfolio of market-leading brands, you'll play an important role in driving customer growth through data-driven performance marketing and continuous optimisation.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced performance marketing professional ready to take the next step in their career. Working across Zoo Fit, Club Lime and Plus Fitness, you'll help deliver Viva Leisure's performance marketing strategy, driving customer acquisition and revenue growth through paid media, programmatic advertising, affiliates, SEO, CRO and eCRM, while ensuring marketing investment delivers measurable commercial outcomes.
Reporting to the General Manager - Marketing, you'll partner with leaders across Marketing, Operations, Brand, CRM, Product, UX, Clubs and LABS to execute integrated growth initiatives that balance national performance marketing with local and community marketing opportunities. You'll play a key role in optimising lead generation, acquisition costs, member quality and long-term customer value, while building the skills and experience to grow your leadership career.
Combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution, you'll play an important role in developing Viva's in-house performance marketing capability. You'll work closely with media agencies, publishers and creative partners, while supporting the progressive transition of key capabilities in-house and helping shape the processes, tools and ways of working needed for future success.
Success will be measured by qualified traffic and new member growth, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) efficiency, member quality, Customer Lifetime Value (LTV), and sustainable revenue growth across a diversified channel portfolio.
This role can be based at either our Sydney (Beaconsfield) or Canberra (Dickson) Head Office.
- Develop and deliver Viva Leisure's performance marketing and growth strategy, driving sustainable member acquisition and revenue growth across our portfolio of brands.
- Lead full-funnel marketing across paid search, paid social, programmatic, affiliates, SEO, CRO and eCRM, continually optimising performance through testing, analytics and AI.
- Champion innovation by identifying emerging channels, technologies and AI capabilities, ensuring Viva remains at the forefront of performance marketing.
- Use advanced analytics, experimentation and customer insights to optimise customer acquisition costs (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), member quality and overall marketing effectiveness.
- Develop scalable growth frameworks that can be successfully implemented across multiple brands while balancing national campaigns with local area and community marketing initiatives.
- Build strong strategic relationships with media partners, publishers and agencies, securing access to new products and best practices while representing Viva as a recognised industry leader.
- Lead the ongoing transition to a high-performing in-house performance marketing function, building team capability while providing strategic oversight and remaining hands-on where needed.
- Partner closely with the Executive team and leaders across Marketing, Operations, Brand, CRM, Product, UX, Retention and LABS to deliver integrated growth strategies that create measurable business outcomes.
We are looking for someone with:
- 10+ years' experience in digital and performance marketing across both agency and in-house environments, with a proven track record managing large-scale media budgets and delivering commercial growth.
- Extensive hands-on expertise across paid search, paid social, programmatic advertising, SEO, CRM, marketing automation and digital analytics, with advanced knowledge of platforms including Google, Meta, TikTok and other leading publishers.
- Strong understanding of performance measurement, customer acquisition, attribution, customer lifetime value (LTV), marketing analytics and data-driven optimisation.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and emerging marketing technologies to improve campaign performance, audience targeting, personalisation and business outcomes.
- Proven success developing and executing full-funnel growth strategies that drive sustainable customer acquisition and long-term revenue growth.
- Experience building, leading and mentoring high-performing performance marketing teams, including managing agency partnerships and bringing capabilities in-house.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate across multiple business functions.
- Experience working within multi-site, franchise or consumer-facing businesses is highly regarded, along with an understanding of subscription or membership-based business models.
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or a related discipline, with relevant Google Analytics, GA4, Meta or other digital marketing certifications highly regarded.
