About us MOR Kitchen (My Only Rival Kitchen) is a growing hospitality business based at North Haven, South Australia. We run the kitchen at North Haven Football Club and are expanding into a second venue at Outer Harbor. We’re known for cracking burgers, schnitzels, loaded parmis, catering events and the odd eating challenge. It’s a fast, fun, community focused kitchen where quality and consistency matter.
The role We’re on the hunt for a reliable Cook or Chef to join our team. You’ll be preparing and cooking our menu to a high standard, keeping the kitchen running smoothly during service, and helping us deliver great food for match days, functions and catering jobs.
This is a part time position, 20 to 30 hours per week, working Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday across lunch and dinner service.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing, cooking and plating menu items to MOR Kitchen standards
- Running sections during service and keeping up during busy periods
- Prepping ingredients and managing mise en place
- Following our food safety plan and keeping the kitchen clean and compliant
- Helping with stock rotation, ordering support and reducing waste
- Supporting catering and function prep when needed
- Working in with front of house and the Square POS system
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as a Cook or Chef in a busy kitchen
- Solid grill, fryer and prep skills
- A current Food Safety / Food Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Good time management and the ability to stay calm under pressure
- A team player with a positive, can do attitude
- Reliability and flexibility around weekend and event work
- Valid working rights in Australia
Nice to have
- A trade qualification (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or similar)
- Experience in a sporting club, pub or catering environment
