About Us
CPK is an established Australian-owned business specialising in the manufacture, supply and installation of car park safety products for the commercial construction industry.
As our workload continues to grow, we are looking to build a relationship with an experienced and reliable Welder/Fabricator who is available to work with us on an hourly basis when required.
This could suit an experienced tradesperson looking for additional work, someone running their own business with spare capacity, or a skilled welder who prefers flexible/casual work rather than a full-time position.
The Role
Work will be offered as required, depending on our fabrication workload. The amount of work may vary from week to week.
Typical fabrication will involve products such as:
- Bollards and steel posts
- Bicycle racks and rails
- Storage Cage Gates
- Brackets, plates and custom components
- General mild steel fabrication
- Stainless steel products and components
- Custom products for commercial construction projects
What We're Looking For
You must be confident and experienced with:
- MIG welding
- TIG welding
- Mild steel fabrication
- Stainless steel fabrication
- Cutting, drilling, grinding and general fabrication
- Reading basic drawings and measurements
- Producing clean, accurate and professional welds
- Working independently without constant supervision
We are particularly interested in someone who takes pride in their workmanship and can be trusted to turn up when agreed, work efficiently and produce quality work.
What We Offer
- Hourly rate – negotiable based on experience and capability
- Flexible work offered as required
- Potential for regular ongoing work for the right person
- Variety of fabrication projects
- Established business with ongoing commercial projects
- Straightforward working environment – we value quality, reliability and getting the job done properly
Who Would Suit This Role?
This opportunity would be ideal for an experienced welder/fabricator who wants additional flexible work without committing to a permanent full-time role.
We are looking for someone we can build a long-term working relationship with and call on when our fabrication workload increases.
Reliability is extremely important. If you commit to a day or job, we need to know that you will be there and ready to work.
