Based in Sydney's Northern Beaches, Exhibit Systems is an award-winning Exhibition and Event company offering a comprehensive range of services to exhibition, event and conference organisers and corporate clients. This includes expert project management, modular exhibition booths, custom stand design and production, electrics, furniture and audio-visual hire and large format digital printing. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Supervisor who will be responsible for comprehensive planning and implementation of on-site work. This role is the Company’s representative on the ground and the critical interface with the client. This position is based in our Sydney office and the work is often undertaken outside standard hours.
The role:
- Undertake all planning and preparatory work for the installation/dismantle of exhibitions within allocated time frames and budget.
- Plan, book, lead and manage all in-house and contract labour for work performed on-site,
- Co-ordinate all on-site details by organising trucks, forklifts, sub-contractors, venue access & dismantle times, specialist tools, specialist labour and standard site tool boxes, etc,
- Undertake a comprehensive induction and orientation for all sub-contractors in safe work practices,
- Act as the Company’s representative on-site always ensuring quality control standards, meeting client expectations and honouring our commitments,
- Undertake regular debriefs with management and department staff to enable business practice improvements.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in project management (installation/dismantle) of exhibitions/trade shows/events,
- Superior planning, time management and organisational skills,
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a hands-on approach,
- Full understanding of Work Health and Safety issues pertaining to on-site exhibition work,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- Ability to meet tight timelines and work under pressure,
- Excellent attention to detail,
- High-level problem solving and critical decision-making skills and a highly professional work ethic,
- Fork lift licence and/or a truck licence would be advantageous,
- Driver's licence,
- Ability to work across weekends and after hours.
Salary (plus paid overtime and a company vehicle) will be commensurate with experience.
