About the Role
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team. This role involves supporting aged care and disability clients in home and community settings, assisting them with daily living activities and helping them achieve their individual goals.
Female applicants with a valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle are preferred due to specific client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Domestic assistance (cleaning, laundry, meal preparation)
- Community access and social support
- Transport assistance to appointments and activities
- Mobility assistance and transfers
- Medication prompting and support
- Supporting clients with daily living activities
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation
- Following individual care plans and organisational policies
Essential Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability or equivalent) preferred
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle
- Smartphone with internet access
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current Australian working rights
Desirable
- Experience in aged care, disability support, home care, or community services
- Manual handling and hoist experience
- Experience supporting clients with high physical support needs
- Medication competency training
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities
Many of our clients are elderly members of the Filipino community who feel most comfortable communicating in their native language. Applicants who can communicate in Filipino languages (such as Tagalog) and have an understanding of Filipino culture will be highly regarded.
