HVAC Service Technician
45-60/hour - Tier 1 Projects
Pronto Search is partnering with a well-established HVAC services contractor to recruit an experienced HVAC Service Technician for its growing service team.
This is a hands-on position covering the servicing, maintenance, repair and installation of commercial and residential HVAC systems. You will manage scheduled maintenance and breakdowns, complete small quoted works and assist with more complex technical issues when required.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing, maintaining, repairing and installing HVAC systems
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults
- Attending scheduled maintenance, breakdowns and emergency call-outs
- Inspecting equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Repairing and replacing components such as compressors, motors and belts
- Testing and adjusting electrical and mechanical HVAC components
- Recommending and completing preventative maintenance
- Carrying out small quoted works
- Maintaining accurate service reports and job records
- Explaining equipment issues and maintenance requirements to customers
- Working alongside technicians, contractors, coordinators and account managers
- Ensuring all work meets safety, quality and customer-service standards
What We’re Looking For
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or a relevant HVAC qualification
- At least two years’ experience in an HVAC service or maintenance role
- Experience across commercial and/or residential HVAC systems
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
- Good customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to manage your workload and complete job documentation accurately
- Professional, reliable and team-focused attitude
