ComUnity SA is looking for an experienced, reliable and engaging Disability Support Worker to join our growing team across Adelaide's northern suburbs.
The role
- Regular casual shifts, generally 3–5 hours
- Approximately 10–15 hours per week initially
- Potential for additional shifts and participant coverage
- Community-based and capacity-building supports
- Supporting both young people and adults
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with young people and adults
- Has experience supporting people with complex support needs and behaviours of concern
- Is calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations
- Can build positive relationships while maintaining strong professional boundaries
- Is confident working independently in the community
- Can follow individual support plans and behaviour support strategies
- Is reliable, consistent and genuinely engaged in the supports they provide
- Is flexible and willing to provide additional coverage when available
Highly regarded
- Experience with mobility assistance and mental health
- Experience in support, youth work, mentoring or similar roles
Essential requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Working With Children Check
- Certificate III Individual support or equivalent
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- Working Rights
