Harbour Rocks Hotel is entering a bold new chapter! Our heritage-listed boutique hotel in the heart of The Rocks has been thoughtfully reimagined through a full refurbishment blending historic character with elevated comfort, warm design, and a more refined guest experience throughout.
We're looking for passionate hospitality creators to join our re-opening team — people who don't just deliver service, but make moments that guests carry with them long after checkout. As Harbour Rocks Hotel prepares to reopen following a complete transformation, we're looking for an experienced Night Manager to lead the hotel during overnight operations.
About the Role:
More than simply running Night Audit, you'll be the hotel's senior leader overnight, responsible for guest satisfaction, financial accuracy, hotel security, operational decision-making and ensuring the property is perfectly prepared for the following day. In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Acting as the senior manager on duty for the entire property, delivering exceptional guest service and resolving concerns confidently and independently.
- Completing all Night Audit and End of Day procedures, including banking and cashier reconciliations, room rate and folio reviews, and revenue adjustments.
- Monitoring arrivals, departures and reservations overnight, and managing wake-up calls, late arrivals and other overnight requests.
- Conducting regular security patrols, monitoring emergency procedures and verifying key control to keep the hotel safe and secure.
- Completing comprehensive handovers, Duty Manager logs and operational reports for the morning leadership team.
- Working closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage and Front Office to prepare the hotel for a seamless morning operation.
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety concerns before they impact guests.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience as a Night Manager, Duty Manager or Front Office Supervisor, ideally in a premium or boutique hotel.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience completing Night Audit and hotel financial reconciliations.
- A calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure, whether it's a difficult guest, a maintenance issue or a security incident.
- A genuine ownership mindset, comfortable making decisions and running the hotel independently overnight.
- Exceptional attention to detail, from reporting accuracy through to lobby presentation and morning readiness.
- Strong knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS and an understanding of hotel security, emergency procedures and WHS requirements, both well regarded.
