OWNDAYS is a contemporary Japanese eyewear company seeking a proactive and highly organised Retail Operations Executive to support the operational performance of the business across Australia. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and enjoys balancing operational coordination, inventory management, customer service support, and store administration.
The successful candidate will work closely with Retail Management, Head Office, and store teams to ensure stores operate efficiently, inventory is effectively managed, and operational standards are maintained across all locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Retail Operational Support
- Support the day-to-day operations of all retail stores to ensure smooth and efficient business performance.
- Monitor store operational needs and coordinate solutions in a timely manner.
- Provide hands-on operational support within stores when required, including floor support during peak trading periods.
- Coordinate and support retail operational initiatives, promotions, new launches, and store campaigns.
- Maintain operational compliance, store standards, and company procedures across all locations.
- Support monthly store target administration and operational reporting requirements.
- Enter and maintain operational data within company systems and platforms.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Coordinate inventory replenishment and stock distribution across all retail locations.
- Manage operational supplies including packaging, cleaning products, display materials, tools, and consumables.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate reordering to ensure adequate inventory availability.
- Support stocktake planning, execution, and inventory accuracy processes.
- Organise stock transfers between stores and warehouse as required.
- Assist with warehouse operations including receiving deliveries, unpacking shipments, stock organisation, and maintaining warehouse orderliness.
- Coordinate incoming deliveries and ensure goods are received and stored appropriately within required timeframes.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors regarding operational supplies, orders, and delivery schedules.
Customer Experience & Administrative Support
- Respond to customer enquiries via email and support online customer service communications within company response time standards.
- Support customer complaint resolution and follow-up to ensure positive customer outcomes.
- Monitor and respond to customer reviews and feedback platforms in accordance with company guidelines.
- Register online sales and maintain accurate operational records within internal systems.
- Assist in preparing operational reports, invoices, and documentation for Finance and Management teams.
- Ensure invoices and operational documents are submitted to Finance within required timelines.
People & Store Coordination
- Coordinate store operational communications and support between Head Office and retail teams.
- Assist with rostering coordination and monitor store staffing coverage requirements.
- Support arrangements for locum coverage and maintain related documentation and invoice checking.
- Assist with onboarding administration including staff registrations, system access setup, and employee record maintenance.
- Coordinate regular operational meetings with store teams and relevant departments.
Contractor & Facilities Coordination
- Act as a key contact point for contractors, suppliers, maintenance providers, and external service partners.
- Coordinate store maintenance requests, repairs, equipment servicing, and operational follow-up.
- Support operational requirements for store openings, refurbishments, and maintenance projects.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in retail operations, retail administration, inventory coordination, or multi-site retail support preferred.
- Basic understanding of key Profit and Loss (P&L) metrics (Revenue, Gross Margin, Cost of Goods Sold, Staff Costs, Operating Expenses and Profitability) and the ability to interpret financial data to support operational planning and business objectives.
- Upper intermediate or advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and retail POS systems.
- Experience within optical, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or specialty retail industries highly regarded.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of performing occasional warehouse and stock handling duties.
- Ability to travel between stores and operational locations as required.
- Japanese language skills considered advantageous.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
