About the opportunity
The Uniting Wahroonga Prep OSHC is licensed for 45 children during After School Care and Vacation Care. As a specialist in Prep - Outside of School Hours Care and having a strong knowledge of the National Quality Standards, you will build a strong community culture in the centre and school, liaising with parents and developing staff.
Hours of operation are:
- 7am - 9am Monday to Friday
- 2:30pm- 6:00pm Monday to Friday
- Vacation Care service operates 8am-6pm

What you’ll be doing in this role
As an Educator, you’ll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework!
Your work may include:
- Developing positive relationships that support children, their families and community.
- Facilitating play-based learning environments that are responsive to children’s interest, strengths, and abilities.
- Documenting children’s learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes
Who we’re looking for
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education or Children Services (preferred)
- Experience working in the OSHC industry
- Be passionate about working with children of all ages.
- A work history that demonstrates, programming, writing learning stories and supporting the planning of a successful curriculum using the National Quality Standards and My Time Our Place (National Standard)
- Completed GECKKO training
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, families and community members
- You’ll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
